Strengths of Austintown Healthcare:
The strengths of the community healthcare system are the easy access to emergency care. The ValleyCare Urgent Care and St. Elizabeth Emergency and Diagnostic Center allow two areas to go to in emergency situations. If further healthcare is needed for the individual they are transported to one of the near by hospitals for further care.

Weaknesses of Austintown Healthcare:
The weaknesses of the community healthcare system is the lack of inpatient mental health facilities. The new addition of the Braking Point Recovery Center detox unit is great for the community, but only allows for approximately twelve patients to be seen at a time. This small facility is growing slowly as they are adding a residential unit soon. This is a great first step for Austintown, but the need for other inpatient mental health units may need to be further assessed.
